About Concorde Career Institute

Concorde Career Institute offers workforce training programs in a number of medical-based career fields. Concorde is currently located in over 12 cities. Originally based out of Delaware when it began in 1988, the school's main office is now located in Kansas. All degree programs are focused on the health care field; additional courses and locations are added as demand rises.

Arlington, TX Health Care StudentThe school's mission is “to open windows of opportunity for students, graduates, employees, and the health care community.” To this end, all training is focused on finding entry-level employment. It prides itself on having all programs designed to finish quickly and with as much hands-on, practical learning as possible.

There are a total of seven health-related specialties available through Concorde: Dental Assistant, Insurance Coding and Billing Specialist, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Practical Nursing, Respiratory Therapy (Associate of Science degree), and Surgical Technologist.

With the exception of the AS Respiratory Therapy option, each program comes with a Concorde Career Institute Diploma.

Dental Assistant & Medical Assistant

All programs offer training in both the relevant clinical and administrative sides of the chosen field. Dental Assistants and Medical Assistants are trained to work hand-in-hand with related professionals, preparing patients and processing paperwork.

These programs are offered in a 30-week capacity designed to get you out the door and into your career. They are also complemented by required externships, which offer six weeks of additional, on-the-job training.

Insurance Billing & Coding

Insurance Coding and Billing Specialists can expect to handle the financial and paperwork side of the office. A 30-week program, the Insurance Billing & Coding curriculum is fast-paced and career oriented. Graduates of the ICBS program are qualified to take the Certified Professional Coder exam.

Surgical Technologist

Surgical Technologists are trained to work with doctors in the operating room. The Diploma course is 48 weeks long, including 500 clinical hours. Learning how to perform medical tasks during, after, and before operations, Surgical Technologist students at Concorde will learn how the basic duties involved with operating as a Scrub Surgical Technologist (STSR), Circulating Scrub Technologist (STCR), Second Assisting Surgical Technologist (STSA), and First Assisting Surgical Technologist.

Vocational Nursing

A diploma program, the Vocational Nursing curriculum at Concorde Career Institute - Arlington is designed to prepare graduates for a career in nursing. Learning how to work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, the Vocational Nursing program centers around the skills needed in order to provide patient-based nursing care. In addition, students of the Diploma in Vocational Nursing program will learn about the biological, physical, and behavioral sciences.
