About Everest Institute

The Everest Institute in Decatur, Georgia is one campus of more than 90 within the Everest Career Education Network. This campus was formerly located in neary Atlanta, and was known as Everest Institute - Atlanta (Dekalb). The school prides itself on the fact that students are there by choice, and they want to give their all to those making the decision to further themselves through education.

Health Care Student - Atlanta, GAPrograms include actual hands-on experience that allow students to get a true feel for their new profession, as well as helping them be completely prepared to walk into their new careers in the health care industry.

Dialysis Technology

Designed to give students a comprehensive training in the field of hemodialysis, the Dialysis Technician program will prepare graduates to seek entry-level employment as a Dialysis Technician. Covering a wide range of topics, this program includes instruction in hematologic aspects, dialysis systems and equipment, kidney, fluid and electrolyte balance, and blood chemistries.

Included in the program is an externship, which will provide hands-on experience, and further instruction. In addition, externship students will learn the skills of fluid management, universal precautions, and the processes involved with initiating and concluding dialysis.

Respiratory Care

The AS in Respiratory Care program will prepare graduates to seek entry level employment as a Respiratory Therapist (providing all licensing and certification requirements have been met).

Students of this program will learn to collect and analyze patient's chart information, maintain a patient airway, and treat, evaluate and manage patients of all age groups who are diagnosed with cardiopulmonary disorders and respiratory illnesses. In addition, students will learn how to interpret arterial blood gas values, perform CPR, chest auscultation, and metered dose inhalation therapy.

Massage Therapy
