Medical Careers Institute is part of the School of Health Science at ECPI College of Technology. MCI is a small, student and employer oriented, private school that provides fast-track education for people who want healthcare careers. Classes at MCI are small so that students receive individual attention from their instructors.
Instructors interact with students inside and outside of class and are available for individual advising, academic assistance and tutoring. Flexible scheduling options are available so that adult learners can attend school while working and maintaining busy family schedules. For added convenience and flexibility, some classes are available online.
Medical Assistant - Associate's Degree or Diploma
This program gives the student a foundational understanding of the sciences related to nursing such as anatomy, physiology and psychology while giving a heavy emphasis on the administrative aspects of nursing, such as documentation and patient monitoring. Successful graduates are able to write a state-sponsored certification exam allowing them to join the health care workforce in entry levels of health care support such as in hospitals and clinics.
Practical Nursing - Diploma
This program offers a theoretical background with a heavy emphasis on practical training in the provision of health care support. The student will learn to work with clients and health care team members while using critical thought in the performance of requisite duties ensuring the safety of the patient and quality of care provided by the physician and the facility.

Medical Imaging Technology - Associate's Degree or Diploma
Preparing graduates to pursue entry-level employment in the medical imaging technology field, the Medical Imaging Technology program at Medical Careers Institute is available as an Associate's Degree or Diploma course of study. Both programs focus on a solid foundation of analog and digital electronics, in addition to the fundamentals of electricity.
Coursework in this program also includes radiological systems, human anatomy and terminology, troubleshooting of medical imaging equipment, and integrating computer networks with micro-computer controlled imaging systems.
