The fourth-largest city in Tennessee, Chattanooga is located near the Georgia-Tennessee border. Situated on shores of the Chickamauga and Nickajack Lake (both of which are part of the Tennessee River), and seated in the ridge-and-valley section of the Cumberland Plateau and the Appalachian Mountains, Chattanooga is a beautiful place to live, work, and go to school.
Chattanooga has a long history that is rich in art and lore. The city itself is home to numerous museums, theaters, symphonies, and opera companies.
As the fourth-largest city in Tennessee, Chattanooga has all the amenities one would expect, including an aquarium, outdoor attractions, and a zoo. In addition, Chattanooga is also home to the Creative Discovery Museum (a hands-on children's museum), and the Tennessee Riverwalk, a 10 mile trail that follows the banks of the great Tennessee River.
With a relatively moderate climate, Chattanooga is a nice place to live year round.
