About Everest College
Everest College strives to teach students through hands-on learning so that they can see real-world applications for what they’re learning in and out of the classroom. In addition, most programs are intensive and focused.
Rather than spending time with unrelated “core” classes like at other institutions, Everest students study exactly what they need to know to start their careers. Students are put into small work teams so they can get more attention and to stimulate learning among peers.

For most of the first couple decades of its formal existence, Chesapeake was essentially a suburban residential area for those who worked in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. During the past 20 years, however, the city has experienced dramatic growth with many industries and businesses establishing a presence in Chesapeake. As a result, the profile of the city has changed from that of a bedroom community to a municipality with all of the advantages and challenges of what has become the third largest city in Virginia.
Chesapeake is in the center of the Hampton Roads area and there are an incredible variety of interesting and exciting activities in this region. Chesapeake is comprised of many square miles of wetlands including a significant portion of the Great Dismal Swamp.

Chesapeake is in the midst of one of the most historically significant areas in the country. The first English speaking colony in America was established at Jamestown, just a few miles away.
The colonists defeated the British at Yorktown in 1781, a victory which ended the Revolutionary War. Colonial Williamsburg is also nearby with its historic charm coupled with the fun and adventure of Busch Gardens.
