About CollegeAmerica
As an institution, CollegeAmerica was formed in 1964. It was originally started to provide vocational training in the most-needed fields in the job market. It offers fast-paced educational training meant to get students on the road to employment.
They pride themselves on offering comprehensive learning options in an accelerated format, meaning that the emphasis is on careers after school. The Cheyenne, Wyoming location offers two degree options in health care, including one Bachelor and one Associate program.
The Associate degree program can be finished in as little as 20 months, and the Bachelor degree program can be completed within 30 months.
BS in Health Care Administration
The Health Care Administration program is part of the school's accelerated degree programs. This means that graduates are eligible for several relevant certifications and exams to help ensure the best employment possible.
It offers training in the administrative side of health care (including management, policy, economics, and long-term care) as well as the basics of anatomy and physiology.
OAS in Medical Specialties
The Medical Specialties OAS degree covers a wide range of skills necessary for entry-level health care jobs. It includes training in physical therapy, coding & billing, phlebotomy, medical assisting, and even massage therapy.
Unlike most programs offered at other schools, all this training is provided by one degree. Graduates are trained to take a number of certification exams, including Certified Nursing Assistant licensure, NCICS-Billing and Coding, NCPT Phlebotomy, and Pharmacy Technician licensure (although none of these are guaranteed by the school).
Faculty & Facilities
The school offers flexible schedules and class times, including evening classes and start times every month. Although their facilities are spread throughout the West in an attempt to meet the demands of a variety of students, they also offer a number of their programs online.

Accreditation
CollegeAmerica is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology and is therefore recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Students should note that the Wyoming campus does not have regional accreditation, which may make it difficult to transfer credits to a different educational facility.
