About Everest College
Everest College strives to teach students through hands-on learning so that they can see real-world applications for what they’re learning in and out of the classroom. In addition, most programs are intensive and focused.
Rather than spending time with unrelated “core” classes like at other institutions, Everest students study exactly what they need to know to start their careers. Students are put into small work teams so they can get more attention and to stimulate learning among peers.
Patient Care Programs
Everest College offers programs in several health care disciplines. For those wanting to work directly in patient care, there are programs for Medical Assistants and Vocational Nursing.
These give you the opportunity to become part of the patient’s health care team. Graduates are able to assist doctors and dentists directly, as well as to do lab work.
Pharmacy Technician
For a little taste of both worlds, the Pharmacy Technician program might be the right fit. This program prepares students for both the behind-the-scenes jobs of calculating medications and for the front-of-house customer service needed to interact directly with patients. While jobs at hospitals and clinics are certainly available, there is also the retail market to consider for employment.
Medical Administrative Assistant & Medical Insurance Billing & Coding
For those who are more interested in the administrative end of things, Everest offers training for Medical Administrative Assistant and Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. These programs can prepare you for a job in a clinic, hospital, doctor’s office, or insurance company.
The field of Medical Insurance Billing and Coding is growing by leaps and bounds, and having a solid education can be the first step toward taking advantage of the opportunities that are continuing to open.
Facilities
There are more than 90 campuses in the entire Everest Career Education Network. The Denver (Aurora) location offers day and night classes in an accelerated atmosphere. They offer hands-on learning with modern tools. The focus is on real-world training.
Accreditation
Everest College has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. The various programs have also been approved and accredited by various organizations.
The Medical Assisting program has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available for those who qualify - If you struggle with the question of how you will pay for your education, let our student finance planners help you explore all of your financing options. We have helped many students identify and apply for financial aid to help them finish their education. Financial aid can help you pay for any legitimate school-related costs, including tuition, books, supplies and basic living expenses.
