Medical Assisting - Associate's Degree

Available at Westwood College - Denver North in an Associate's Degree format, the Medical Assisting program is a great way to enter the health care world as a medical assistant, emergency room technician, healthcare specialist, or certified nurse assistant. Learning how to perform both front and back office procedures, students of the Associate's Degree Medical Assisting program at Westwood will learn how to ensure the smooth operation of a medical office.

A hands-on course of study, students will take classes in Pharmacology, Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Physiology, Minor Surgical Procedures, Medical Office Procedures, Principles of Patient Care, Patient/Human Relations, and Specialty Medical Procedures. In addition, the Associate Degree program includes a 160 hour externship, giving students valuable hands-on career training in this exciting health care profession!
