As an institution, CollegeAmerica was formed in 1964. It was originally started to provide vocational training in the most-needed fields in the job market. It offers fast-paced educational training meant to get students on the road to employment.
They pride themselves on offering comprehensive learning options in an accelerated format, meaning that the emphasis is on careers after school. The Flagstaff, Arizona location offers an Associate Degree in Medical Specialties, which can be finished in as little as 20 months.
OAS in Medical Specialties
The Medical Specialties OAS degree covers a wide range of skills necessary for entry-level health care jobs. It includes training in physical therapy, coding & billing, phlebotomy, medical assisting, and even massage therapy.
Unlike most programs offered at other schools, all this training is provided by one degree. Graduates are trained to take a number of certification exams, including Certified Nursing Assistant licensure, NCICS-Billing and Coding, NCPT Phlebotomy, and Pharmacy Technician licensure (although none of these are guaranteed by the school).
