Emergency Medical Services & Paramedic Programs
The Emergency Medical Services program is designed for paramedics who wish to pursue a degree. An Associate of Science degree program, the Emergency Medical Services curriculum begins with the EMT-B Diploma program.
Following the EMT-B program, students progress through the Paramedic Diploma program, and the program culminates with the various general education courses required for the Associate of Science degree.
Emergency Medical Technician
Designed to prepare students for a career in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Field, the Emergency Medical Technician training at Keiser is a Diploma program. Throughout training, students will learn how to use and assimilate various health care techniques at a pre-hospital level.
Massage Therapy
As a student in the Massage Therapy program you will receive instruction in therapeutic massage. You will also be taught about the structure and function of the human body.
Students will be trained in hydrotherapy, the legal issues associated with massage, the prevention of medical errors, and other related massage techniques. Depending on course of study, graduates will receive an Associate of Science Degree or Diploma with a major in Massage Therapy.
Medical Billing and Coding
A Diploma program, this course of study is designed to give students a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health records management, medical terminology, billing software, insurance procedures, and medical coding.
Designed for those who are seeking entry-level employment in the health information management or medical billing fields, this program will prepare students to seek employment in the public and private sector.
Medical Assistant

Pharmacy Technician
Offered as either an Associate of Science or Diploma, the Pharmacy Technician program is designed to prepare graduates for employment in nursing care facilities, hospitals, drug stores, and health maintenance organizations. Throughout the program, students will learn the skills needed in order to assist the pharmacist in the distribution and packing of medicine.
Surgical Technology
Equipping students with the skills needed in order to become a productive member of a health care team in a hospital or surgical center, the Surgical Technology curriculum at Keiser is an Associate of Science program. Students will study topics such as anatomy, physiology, health care, medical language, and surgical instrumentation.
Practical Nursing
Students who graduate from the Keiser Career College Practical Nursing Program receive a diploma in Practical Nursing. They are prepared to take the NCLEX-PN exam and to apply for licensure as LPN’s.
LPN’s work in a variety of health care settings, including doctor’s offices, hospitals, convalescent centers, home health, nursing homes and community settings. They work under the supervision of RN’s and/or doctors, and may supervise nursing assistants and other healthcare workers.
LPN’s provide care for individuals throughout the lifecycle. They know how to take physical care of people, how to prevent disability, how to take vital signs, give medications and administer treatments. LPN’s can observe patients and detect adverse reactions, declining or improving health status and participate in planning care for their patients.
The Practical Nursing program at Keiser Career College requires the completion of 52.0 credit hours. This can be completed in 12 months if a student attends full-time during traditional classroom hours.
Faculty & Facilities
Because Keiser Career College focuses so heavily on individualized attention, the faculty members must be onboard with the agenda. The student-to-instructor ratio is intentionally low to allow for more one-on-one time. Students also attend only one class at a time for a month each, so they get the opportunity to really know their instructors.
