About Blue Cliff College

Blue Cliff College was founded as a Massage Therapy training center in 1987, and in the following decades new programs and multiple campuses were added throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. The college is particularly focused on developing students who are prepared to step out of school and into their careers.

The school strives to graduate students who are ready, willing, and able to begin their careers as professional Massage Therapists. The curriculum at Blue Cliff College is specifically structured around employers’ needs, which means students are trained to meet those needs from day one. Programs can take as little as nine to fifteen months.

Massage Therapy (Associate's Degree or Diploma)

For a truly “hands on” career in Massage Therapy, students can choose from either a Diploma or Associate's Degree program in Massage Therapy. Students learn to manipulate body tissues in order to balance body energy and improve overall patient health. This can be done both through physical therapy and through the stress-reducing aspects of massage.

Students at Blue Cliff College are able to study a variety of massage techniques. Some of these include Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage, and Basic Shiatsu. Graduates have a number of career opportunities in private practice, doctors’ offices, clinics, hospitals, health clubs, spas, and resorts.

Dialysis Technician (Diploma)

A Diploma program, the Dialysis Technician program at Blue Cliff College in Lafayette focuses on the technical and clinical skills needed in order to provide patient care and equipment maintenance/repair. In addition to learning how to operate kidney dialysis machines, students will perform their duties under the direct supervision of registered nurses or physicians.

Facilities

The Lafayette campus of Blue Cliff College is a modern, up-to-date facility. Featuring ample classroom space, students are able to hone their skills in the two massage therapy technique labs. There is also a medical assisting clinical lab right on campus. Additionally, students have access to a modern computer laboratory.
