About American Career College
American Career College was originally founded in 1978 as American College of Optics, with very specialized training. Thirty years later, the school has branched out into a variety of areas, and the name was changed in 1993 in order to reflect that. The school is proud of their facilities and the fact that they offer career placement assistance to all of their graduates.
American Career College offers several tracks to prepare students for a variety of different paths in health care. Most programs are intensive and last eight to ten weeks.
With career placement in Dental Assisting, Massage Therapy, Optical Dispensing, and more, American Career College works with graduates to find entry-level positions.
Massage Therapy (Diploma)
There’s no doubt that opportunities are growing for Massage Therapists today. While some choose to work in medical clinics, physical therapy offices, and chiropractors’ offices, others prefer to go into private practice or to work at spas and fitness centers. Medical Assistant (Diploma) & Health Claims Examiner/Medical Biller (Diploma)

Coursework is hands-on, and includes instruction in oral surgery assistance, film mounting/developing, X-rays, oral measurements, orthodontic instruments, polishing, and mouth-mirror inspections.
Surgical Technology (Diploma)
Balancing classroom training with a hands-on clinical experience, the Surgical Technology course of study at ACC is Diploma program. Arming graduates with the skills they need in order to seek entry-level employment, coursework includes instruction in operating room preparation, surgical assistance, patient prep, surgical instrumentation, and the operation of diagnostic equipment.
