About California Healing Arts College
California Healing Arts College was originally founded in 1988 by Dr. Paul Schwinghamer. A school with a reputation for providing quality and comprehensive massage therapy training, California Healing Arts College has been recognized as one of the top 10 schools in the United States for massage therapy. Featured in the book "Massage For Dummies," California Healing Arts College gained its ACCSCT accreditation in 2002.
Dr. Paul Schwinghamer is a chiropractor with a life-long interest in massage therapy. Blending Eastern and Western schools of though, California Healing Arts College has an approach that is intuitive and scientific in nature, focusing on graduating Massage Therapists that are training in mentally stimulating and enjoyable learning environment.
Professional Massage Therapy and Bodywork
A 720-hour training program, the Professional Massage Therapy and Bodywork program at California Healing Arts College is designed to give students the skills needed in order to seek employment in a spa, office environment, chiropractic office, clinic, beauty salon, or private practice.
Combining massage therapy theory and hands-on training, the Professional Massage Therapy and Bodywork program includes training in jade stone therapy, oscillation, deep tissue, and shiatsu. A comprehensive training program, this curriculum surpasses the basic technician or practitioner training, and provides graduates with the skills needed in order to sit for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) upon graduation.

Accreditation
California Healing Arts College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). In addition, the school is approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) Council of Schools. Additionally, the Massage Therapist Master Program meets the NCBTMB requirements, allowing graduates to test for the National Certification Exam in Massage Therapy.
