About ATI Career Training Center
ATI has been functioning as an technical training and vocational school for over 35 years. In the beginning, it was primarily an HVAC and welding training facility; however, as the fields of business, technology, and health care grew, so did the school's curriculum and degree programs. They now attempt to offer a comprehensive set of skills to meet the demands of those fields currently leading the job industry in terms of hiring and growth.
ATI Career Training Center seeks to serve primarily adults with existing jobs or responsibilities. To this end, class schedules and times are meant to offer flexibility. Classes and programs are also geared toward post-graduation employment.
In addition to programs in computer design, automotive repair, and business administration, the Miami campus of ATI Career Training Center offers two Associate degrees in health-related fields: Medical Assisting and Medical Administrative Assisting.
Medical Assisting (Associate's Degree)
The Medical Assisting program offers an Occupational Associate Degree to graduates of the course. Courses including basic anatomy and physiology, laboratory procedures, blood work, office administration, and first aid.
All students are required to participate in an approved externship designed to get the most hands-on training possible. Students are offered the RMA Certification Exam at the end of the program.
Medical Administrative Assisting (Associate's Degree)
The Medical Administrative Assisting program also offers an OA degree. It covers much of the same material as the Medical Assisting program, but with a stronger emphasis on administrative duties (rather than clinical ones). Courses cover insurance claims, records, data analysis, coding, and patient coordination.
Faculty & Facilities
Currently serving students in over 11 locations across Texas and Oklahoma in addition to the Florida campuses, the facilities are kept up-to-date with current industry standards. Classrooms and laboratories are built with real-world offices in mind. Educators are chosen for their abilities to promote class participation while still emulating the working world.
Accreditation
The Miami campus of ATI Career Training Center is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. It is licensed by the Florida Department of Education, Commission for Independent Education. The school is also a member of the Career College Association and the Florida Association of Post-Secondary Schools and Colleges.
Financial Aid
The school offers financial planning assistance to all students. Prospective students undergo private financial consultations to determine the best funding sources and payment plans. This includes federal and state money gained through the FAFSA form as well as eligibility for private scholarship and loan programs.
