Applicants wishing to attend MedVance need to contact the Admissions Office for specific program requirements, but it is expected that the applicant to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Medical Assisting - Diploma

Providing hands-on care to patients, medical assistants work closely with physicians and other practitioners, performing a wide range of office and clinical duties. In addition to hands-on training, graduates of the Medical Assisting program at MedVance Institute are eligible to take the Medical Assistant Certification exam.

Upon graduation, students of the Medical Assisting program at MedVance - Miami are well-prepared to seek employment in a variety of health care settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, blood banks, physician and dental offices, rehab facilities, insurance companies, and pain management clinics.

Personal Training - Diploma

This compressed program takes less than a year and gives the student a fundamental understanding of medical terminology, medical ethics, physiology, psychology, nutrition, anatomy and gerontological nursing. Program students take a hands-on approach in the lab and simulated health care scenarios. MedVance’s Practical Nursing Program also includes practical experience and externships for their students.

Medical Billing & Coding Specialist - Diploma

Miami Health Care StudentsPreparing graduates for an exciting career in the health care industry, the Medical Billing & Coding Specialist program at Medvance Institute - Miami focuses on the skills needed in order to represent the interests of both the patient and the practice.

In addition to learning about how to analyze health records and complete insurance forms using coding, this curriculum is designed to give graduates the skills needed in order to pursue employment in a physician's office, HMO, insurance or billing company, diagnostic center, or hospital.

Medical Office Administration - Diploma

Preparing graduates for entry-level positions in inpatient and outpatient clinics, doctor's offices, dental offices, insurance companies, or long-term care facilities, the Medical Office Administration program at MedVance Institute - Miami is designed to give you the skills needed in order to become a vital part of a medical office team.

In addition to learning about medical transcription and documentation, coursework in the Medical Office Administration program focuses on computer skills, medical terminology, and other office procedures. The areas of ethical responsibility, self-direction, communication, and confidentiality are also emphasized, as is problem-solving.

Radiologic Technology - Associate's Degree
