Milwaukee (West Allis), WI Health Care StudentsThe school's mission is to “offer focused, quality, short-term, non-degree career-oriented programs.” The school has always been focused on practical training offered in a fast format to enable students to get out the door and into their careers. Today, the focus of the training is centered on technology, business, and health care.

In its current form, Sanford-Brown is a subsidiary of the Career Education Corporation network, a company with over 80 for-profit postsecondary educational facilities throughout the United States.

Medical Billing & Coding (Diploma)

The Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program prepares students to work in the insurance and records departments of a variety of health care establishments. The course includes an externship of practical work at an outside facility.

Graduates are eligible to take the Certified Coding Associate and Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice exams; however the official Certified Professional Coder exam and other relevant certifications require more experience and/or education.
