About Everest College
Everest College strives to teach students through hands-on learning so that they can see real-world applications for what they’re learning in and out of the classroom. In addition, most programs are intensive and focused.
Rather than spending time with unrelated “core” classes like at other institutions, Everest students study exactly what they need to know to start their careers. Students are put into small work teams so they can get more attention and to stimulate learning among peers.
Medical Assisting (Diploma)
Everest College offers a Medical Assistant program for those wanting to work directly in patient care Giving you the opportunity to become part of the patient’s health care team, graduates are able to assist doctors directly, as well as to do lab work.
Preparing graduates to seek entry-level employment as a medical assistant, this program includes training in diagnostic tests, vitals signs, lab work, communication, and management skills.
Medical Insurance Billing & Coding (Diploma)
For those who are more interested in the administrative end of things, Everest offers training in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. This program can prepare you for a job in a clinic, hospital, doctor’s office, or insurance company. The field of Medical Insurance Billing and Coding is growing by leaps and bounds, and having a solid education can be the first step toward taking advantage of the opportunities that are continuing to open.
Nursing (Associate of Applied Science)
Nursing students at Everest take courses that give them a solid theoretical and academic foundation. They study anatomy and physiology, nursing fundamentals, infection control and asepsis, pharmacology, nursing ethics, legalities of nursing, professionalism and communication.
They also gain practical skills and opportunities to apply what they have learned in a practice lab and in clinical settings. Everest students learn to care for individuals throughout their lifespan, in a variety of settings. By graduation, they are confident and prepared for entry-level employment in a wide range of clinical settings.

There are more than 90 campuses in the entire Everest Career Education Network. The Phoenix location offers day and night classes in an accelerated atmosphere. They offer hands-on learning with modern tools. The focus is on real-world training.
Accreditation
Everest College has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. The various programs have also been approved and accredited by various organizations. For example, the Vocational Nursing program has been approved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
The Medical Assisting program has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Dental Assisting has been approved by the Committee on Dental Auxiliaries and the Dental Board of California.
