About Heald College
Heald College offers a variety of programs for those who want to get involved in the health care field. They offer both Associate’s Degrees and diplomas in a number of fields. The school was founded in San Francisco in 1863, and the Salinas campus came in 1990.
The health care industry is growing at an amazing rate. This means that the need for qualified health care professionals is also growing. Students attending full-time can earn a diploma in nine to twelve months.
The school also offers part-time programs, however, for working adults who want to make a change in their lives.
Medical Assisting (Associate's Degree or Diploma)

The Salinas campus boasts about a twenty-four-to-one ratio of students to instructors, with approximately 800 students and 40 faculty members. Instructors have experience in their fields and are able to bring that back to infuse their classes with authenticity.
Facilities
The Salinas campus of Heald College is a 36,000 square-foot-facility in the heart of the city. The campus also boasts free parking for students. There is a conference center with wireless capability and a Learning Resource Center that includes a library and computer lab.
