About Everest College
Everest College strives to teach students through hands-on learning so that they can see real-world applications for what they’re learning in and out of the classroom. In addition, most programs are intensive and focused.
Rather than spending time with unrelated “core” classes like at other institutions, Everest students study exactly what they need to know to start their careers. Students are put into small work teams so they can get more attention and to stimulate learning among peers.
Patient Care Programs
Everest College offers programs in several health care disciplines. For those wanting to work directly in patient care, there are programs for Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Vocational Nursing.
These give you the opportunity to become part of the patient’s health care team. Graduates are able to assist doctors and dentists directly, as well as to do lab work.
Massage Therapy
Students who really want to interact with patients as part of a health care team might consider the Massage Therapy program at Everest College.
While this program obviously teaches about tools and techniques, it goes even further to take a look at the ethics and behaviors required of a Massage Therapist. Some of the techniques taught include Pre-Natal, Post-Natal and Infant, and Elder Massage. Eastern and Western theories are also explored.
Medical Administrative Assistant
For those who are more interested in the administrative end of things, Everest offers training as a Medical Administrative Assistant. This program can prepare you for a job in a clinic, hospital, doctor’s office, or insurance company.
The field of Medical Administrative Assistant is growing by leaps and bounds, and having a solid education can be the first step toward taking advantage of the opportunities that are continuing to open.
Facilities
There are more than 90 campuses in the entire Everest Career Education Network. The San Bernardino location offers day and night classes in an accelerated atmosphere. They offer hands-on learning with modern tools. The focus is on real-world training.
