Founded by Jonathan Wright (a relative of the famed Wright Brothers) in 1815, the city of Springboro was originally known as "Springborough." Rich in history, Springboro was known for its abolitionist point of view, participating heavily in the Underground Railroad during the 1800's.

One of the most popular destinations in Springboro is the Wright-B Flyer Museum.
