About Branford Hall Career Institute
All the Springfield Hall schools are a subsidiary of Premier Education Group (PEG), a parent company with additional locations in the Northeast. In addition to the Springfield name, PEG owns and operates Salter College, Salter School, Seacoast Career Schools, Suburban Technical School, and the Harris School of Business. All these schools are focused on vocational training.
In addition to health-related careers, the Springfield subset of schools offer training in HVAC, massage therapy, paralegal work, and computer technology.
This training is almost always offered in a fast-paced environment with less than one year of classes. The Springfield, Massachusetts campus offers health care training and diplomas in two fields: Medical Assisting and Medical Billing.
Medical Assisting (Diploma)
The Medical Assisting program offers training in patient care, blood work, clinical duties, office procedures, and physician assistance. Students of this program are required to complete an externship prior to graduation.
In these real-world training opportunities, students work hand-in-hand with paid professionals in their field. This is meant to provide graduates with an edge in finding post-graduation employment.
Massage Therapy (Diploma)
The massage therapy program at Springfield Hall is structured to prepare students for a successful career as a massage therapist. Students receive intense instruction in courses that focus on medical topics and other key disciplines that will provide a solid foundation upon which to build a massage therapy career.
The coursework in the massage therapy program will provide opportunities for students to become hands-on as they learn and practice classical massage techniques. In addition, students receive thorough training about advanced therapeutic modalities and soft tissue manipulation.
Just as important, students are taught the essential skills that they will need to develop a business, communicate properly with clients and develop constructive positive relationships with clients, employers and even employees.
Health Claims Specialist Program - Medical Billing & Coding (Diploma)
The Medical Billing program (also known as Medical Billing & Coding and/or Health Claims Specialist) covers the administrative side of working in a patient care facility. It includes training in insurance procedures, legal issues, and filing and coding. Unlike the Medical Assisting program, an externship is not required for graduation.
Faculty and Facilities
The campus classrooms and facilities are state-of-the-art and viable with today's workplace technology. All of the locations offer similar class sizes, educational instructors, and administrative services (including financial aid offices).
Accreditation
Branford Hall Career Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, making it qualified to award diplomas in both Medical Assisting and Medical Billing (in addition to their other business and technical diploma programs).
The school and its parent company have further approval from the Connecticut Commissioner of Higher Education. It is a member of the Association of Connecticut Career Schools as well as the National Phlebotomy Association, Inc. Licensure through the Massachusetts State Education Department gives the campus further accreditation for this branch's Medical Assisting program.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available in the form of grants, loans, and scholarships to those who qualify. After students are granted admission to the school, they are eligible to meet with the school's financial aid department, which offers help in filling out FAFSA forms and locating alternate sources of funding. Career services are also offered in an attempt to match graduates with entry-level work.
