Cortiva - Woodridge is a part of the Cortiva Institute family, which consists of nine schools throughout the United States. With a history dating back to 1981, the Woodridge campus is the newest member of the Cortiva family. One of three schools located in the Chicago area, Cortiva Institute - Chicago School of Massage Therapy is grounded in both traditional and contemporary approaches to massage therapy. Professional Massage Therapy
A 750-hour program, the Massage Therapy curriculum at Cortiva can be completed in as few as 30 weeks. A combination of hands-on and clinical work, students will learn the skills of client interaction, a vital tool for any massage therapist. Coursework in the Massage Therapy program includes anatomy, physiology, massage therapy and practice, business, ethics, a massage lab, and various massage therapy electives.
All coursework takes place in a supervised and supportive environment, and graduates will learn how to work with a wide variety of health care challenges and body types. Upon completion, students will be able to sit for the National Certification Exam and will be qualified to work within the health care community as a massage therapist.
Faculty
